Interprétation du poids en fonction des centiles de taille

 
Centile < 5: Insuffisance pondérale
Centile >= 5 et < 85: Poids normal
Centile >= 85 et < 95: Risque de surcharge pondérale
Centile >= 95: Surcharge pondérale

 
 

 
Notes
  • Ces normes de poids selon la stature sont proposées comme une alternative à l’IMC dans le cadre d’une évaluation de la surnutrition ou sous-nutrition chez les enfants âgés de 2 à 5 ans. Néanmoins, les professionnels de la santé doivent utiliser les diagrammes de l’IMC selon l’âge en s’assurant qu’ils sont conformes aux recommandations en vigueur.
  • Ce calculateur utilise la taille mesurée debout des enfants âgés de 2 à 5 ans, et n’est pas valable pour la taille en position allongée.
  • Aux extrêmes (supérieur au 97e centile ou inférieur au 3e centile), les petites différences de centiles représentent des différences cliniquement importantes. Au niveau de ces extrêmes, le score Z reflète de manière plus précise à quel point la mesure s’écarte de la moyenne et il constitue un outil utile pour suivre les changements.
  • Les données de LMS utilisées dans ce calculateur sont affichées dans le tableau ci-dessous.
  • Pour tous les tableaux de LMS, la ligne correspondant à la valeur spécifique au patient se trouve dans la première colonne du tableau ; les valeurs à utiliser pour L (puissance de Box-Cox), M (médiane) et S (coefficient de variation généralisé) dans l’équation pour le score Z sont extraites.
  • Les scores Z peuvent être utilisés pour faire une recherche sur le centile correspondant dans la table des centiles de la loi normale pour le tableau du score Z (ci-dessous). Les chiffres sur le côté gauche (axe Y) du tableau représentent le premier nombre et l’emplacement de la première décimale du score Z, tandis que les chiffres en haut (axe X) du tableau correspondent à l’emplacement de la deuxième décimale du score Z.
